"Fastlane" (The Complete Series) DVD Disc Case Cover

From the premier of the pilot on September 18th, 2002 to the season finalé on April 25th, 2003, I was a huge fan of "Fastlane." An innovative take on undercover law enforcement by "Terminator Salvation" director McG, this short-lived Fox action drama featured Peter Facinelli, Tiffani Thiessen, and Bill Bellamy as deep cover detectives in the LAPD. Operating with the motto "Everything we seize, we keep. Everything we keep, we use," lended to a variety of police-confiscated supercars and exotic vehicles, high fashion clothes, powerful weapons and many other items kept in a large secret warehouse called the Candy Store. The mismatched tandem of Van Ray and Deaq Hayes utilize their unique talents and flashy toys in order to nail various low-lifes and rich, powerful criminals. The series had plot and character driven stories, unconventional cinematography, dramatic action sequences, a slew of top name guest stars, and featured a licensed soundtrack worthy of a feature film (McG has been quoted stating he wrote the pilot to be a full-length movie). The finalé ended with a cliffhanger that would lead into an all but guaranteed second season. Unfortunately "Fastlane" suffered the fate of many great shows on Fox and was canceled. The studio states the exorbitant production costs of $2.6 million per episode was the reason for the cult favorite's demise.

Since then, I scoured the Internet in search of any information referring to the release of the DVD set. After years of fruitless searches and dead-end petitions, I found "Fastlane" in syndication on G4. Unsatisfied with a bootleg version I bought on ebay, I immediately digitally recorded every episode during the marathon, and transferred the series to DVD. I believe the reruns can still be found on TV One.

Complete with a professional menu created with Sony Vegas Pro & DVD Architect, a five-disc DVD disc case, and this cover created with Adobe Photoshop CS2, I fabricated the most professional catalog of "Fastlane" available anywhere in widescreen format (as it was originally aired). Five years later I am sharing it with you. I realize the official [fullscreen] DVD release was on June 8th, 2008, but I wanted to make this available for those who don't want to invest the $60.00 to replace a perfectly fine homebrew copy. The image is already scaled to fit a large multiple-DVD disc case (7.25" x 11.25") and prints in 300dpi resolution.
